Victoria, my soul is enraptured to hear that you have accepted my proposal of marriage! It is an odd thing indeed to know that once I heard your answer, the world itself seems a more beautiful place. I know that no matter how bright the day, your radiance will outshine everything else. I am so glad that you and Maggie are once again friends. She is a good friend to me, though I must admit that she will have to once again earn my trust. I think she will make you a fine bridesmaid. Shall we have the wedding in your father’s church? It would do my heart good for him to be the vicar that marries us. Please invite all of our family.

Oh certainly! We will set the date a month from this Saturday, at two past noon. I will of course invite our family, and please invite as many of your barrister associates as you wish. It will truly be a most wonderful celebration!
