Family Lunch

I have to say, even though I've had lunch with Aunt Maylie and Victoria many times before, this particular luncheon was better than I had envisioned: Aunt Maylie looked marvelous and the food didn't even discourage my taste buds. It was the conversation that proved the most interesting facet of our luncheon- Aunt Maylie expressed her desire that Victoria and I would be a fascinating match. To be quite frank, this possibility had only been entertained in my mind since Venice, but to hear Aunt Maylie give her blessing is quite a relief. Having been so busy establishing myself as a Barrister, I have given few thoughts to the fairer sex. To that end, I would like to extend an invitation to you, Victoria Maylie, to join me for dinner and dancing one week from today. I think you should know, Victoria, that every night I dream about Venice, and of you.
